Feedback gevenI often called Duke's to confirm my reservation, but I never received an answer to my inquiries, nor was there an option to leave a message. I'm not sure what the situation was, but as a result, I decided not to visit this location.
The reason for this bad review has nothing to do with duke. the restaurant is closed! to the happiness I found another restaurant on the street! sm
The restaurant was closed for the holiday. How did they not know? we stayed at 7 on a Saturday evening in newark without reservations. bad work with them more open table!
I'm extremely upset and disappointed. I've dined at the restaurant on several occassions and have never had an issue. This would have been my mother's first time and birthday dinner. I made reservations online and confirmed but when I arrived at the restaurant it was CLOSED!!!! Noone even tried to contact me. My mother's birthday dinner was ruined. PLEASE do not accept reservations if the restaurant is CLOSED for a period of time. The website of the restaurant was active when I made my reservations but now it states closed! Horrible way to be treated!!!!!!
When I arrived with all my staff the restaurant had a sign stating that they were closed for the summer. It was a complete inconvenience to not only me but my staff, some of which traveled a great distance to attend the lunch. I would have appreciated notice that the restaurant was closed. i shouldn't have even been allowed to reserve a table. very poor business practices.
