A great Portuguese restaurant in newark’s ironbound. one of my favorites is the bbq huh. they start with a bowl of olive and delicious brot to get their appetit.
Really great. very nice and competent waitress. paella was great (and very cheap.) low place with a dining room hidden behind the bar. we were the only non-Portuguese redners there. the right thing.
Really a special experience! portugalia is neither chic nor there is a sign of preference. it is simply a real, fantastic cultural experience in newark! I live in the bronx and come here because it is so great! They are usually heard Portuguese spoken. every time I go at the weekend, it's full. the portions are very large, so I would advise to order a participant to share and skip the appetizers or two appetizers is sufficient. her bacalhau (kidfish!!! it takes a past (over 30 min. but it's worth getting the juicy, carburized cod! they have a full bar with a few beers on the tap including one of the Portuguese national beer, super bock. her sangria is also very beautiful with good (strong ingredients. really good kalamari too!
