Roy's Fish Fry - Newark

The Catfish dinner and Shrimp Stuffed with CrabMeat was the bomb, the Lemon Cake tasted good, the slice was too small...

The catfish was tough and chewy, the collard greens were soggy, and the mac and cheese was so bad that I had to spit it out. The cornbread was also tough and disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fresh seafood and well-cooked sides.

Roy's catfish is consistently fresh and perfectly fried. I always choose to get my fish from Roy's because his service is top-notch.

The fish was absolutely delicious, prepared fresh just the way I like it. The yellow rice and coleslaw were excellent as well. This is my second time ordering from Royals Roy and I must say, their food is mouthwateringly good. The service is also top-notch.

Be warned! This restaurant is a cheater. With the price of $20.99 for 5 full whiting fish,, they will only give you 1 full fish, and 4 half fish. Basically, they owe you 2 full fish since they are keep the other 4 half fish. Also, they will give you only 1 white sauce instead of 2, and they add 1 spicy spicy sauce instead of 2. I do not recommand it at all!!
