Tasty Jamaican American - Newark

This was very delicious. It was hot like it just came out the pot. The carrots were nice and not over cooked. The salad was good as well. I also had the Rasta Pasta, which was my first time. I had called and asked about the dish. They were very polite and answered my questions. The Rasts Pasta is worth it!!!! It apos;s slightly spicy, but, I like spicy food. Make sure to call ask them if they are selling the Rasta Pasta FIRST!!! It apos;s not always available.

The portion was smaller then what is normal for a large OXTAILS. The food tasted clean and good but no plantains again for a large, rice portion was small.

Saltiest ache and salt fish ever. too much pfeffer. fry knödel hard like the hell. the boil has never boiled the salt from the fish or added too much salt.

Service is in the basement. . . Make sure you lock your car doors when you come there. I dont know HOW the food is... after standing in there for 25 mins WAITING PATIENTLY, Some random jamican walks in and gets served before me outrageously poor customer service. Never again will i subject myself to such a deplorable location on the suggestion that the food is top shelf. Im sure the food is a reflection of the people in and around there.

I went here today based on reviews. I paid $24 for a large oxtails. The food was so salty… it didn’t even taste good that’s how salty it was. I literally had to throw it away.
