The Craftsman Kitchen Terrace - Newark

Such a nice surprise during our stay at Cherry Valley Lodge. Food was great and my family and I really enjoyed eating outside.

The inside of the restaurant and the patio was very nice. However, the grounds themselves are very poorly taken care of. We had a reservation and were seated on the patio tucked back into a corner. The waitress didn't seem to remember we were there half of the time. The chicken sandwich I ordered was reasonably price and tasty. My husband got the special. It was a strip steak for $34. You can get a filet at most restaurants for that. It was ok but definitely would not order again. In hind sight we should have asked the price before ordering.

The food is tasty and the service was fantastic. Limited menu but adults could enjoy dinner while kids hung out with friends in the hotel.

We never had visited the Craftsman before and had a impromptu date night. The staff was super nice, super attentive, and courteous. The food was amazing and the ambiance was so romantic and peaceful. Highly recommend.

This was an unexpected pleasant surprise. I enjoyed everything about this restaurant- local craft beers, local food ingredients, outside dining an option, respectful service, delicious food!
