Los Avina Mexican - Newberry

There were not a lot of people there. The place smelled so good when we pulled up. Our food came and my husband's and son's food was burnt. The shrimp was like rubber and scorched. Half of my food came out about 10 minutes after the rest. The waitresses were helpful but 1 spoke more English than the others it was not always easy to communicate our needs. My husband ordered the quesadilla loco but he was not crazy impressed...the opposite.

We used to eat here once a week during work for lunch. As of today unfortunately we will not be returning. Two lunch specials(12.50 each with sodas 3 each) somehow totaled $44.xx, when I was given the total I was shocked. After questioning the total and told that it was correct we cannot support a dishonest business. If the business owner corrects this error we might return and adjust this review accordingly.

Very Good. Every time.Gave a review 2 years ago, but making this edit....Good food and the portion sizes are more than you pay for. I don't know how they make profit with the amount of food this is for the price. Combination dinners are a pan full, Its two meals really. Still good. Still a bargain.

Love this place my husband and I go there every time that he's home. Food is always awesome I just wish they didn't have such hot salsa I wish it was mild so I could eat

Yeah, where to start. The waiter placed my food on top of the trash can on the lid). Store bought tortillas, and i was expecting them to be made at the restaurant. The salsa, he poured the leftover salsa he picked up from the table back into the tub where the new batch was served out of.
