Mi Tipico Mexicano - Newberry

Mi Tipico has shut its doors and reopened as La Fogata. While some of Ruth's classic dishes from the previous menu are still offered, they've also introduced an Americanized menu. Personally, I have no interest in the new offerings, as they resemble what other American-Mexican restaurants in town serve. I recommend sticking to the more authentic items from the old menu.

It's a unique experience since they're very close to the slope and provide attentive service.

We stopped by for dinner for the first time, and wow! Ruth is amazing, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is out of this world. It was a wonderful experience. If you haven't been here yet, you definitely need to check it out. I can’t wait to come back—might even pop in for breakfast tomorrow. Great job, Ruth!

I was really impressed by how clean the restaurant was. The staff were incredibly friendly, and since it's a family-run business, even the kids helped out with the customers. Everyone was very polite. I tried the Mexican tacos, and they were excellent! All the food was delicious. The salsa was a bit different from what I’m used to, but it was tasty too. I finished off my meal with iced tea. I ordered a quesadilla to go, but I wasn’t expecting it to come with lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. The prices were comparable to other Mexican restaurants in town, but I preferred the food here.
