Pomodori - Newburyport

I usually get the roast beef sandwich, which is very good but I thought I?d try the steak bomb?..big mistake. The steak was shredded, small greasy pieces that hardly resembled steak. One bite of the sub and the tiny pieces of ?steak?, smaller than confetti, fell everywhere. And then to top it off I spent the rest of the night with a stomach ache.

Before I give this specific review? I?m going to state that I have eaten the roast beef here many times, and I?ve never been disappointed. This time? Unfortunately the chicken kabob in a pita sucked. They rolled it the wrong way, and all the chicken was on the top, with the cheese/lettuce/tomato being on the bottom. Definitely DON?T wanna eat a pile of veggies and cheese. So not impressed for $15.

The Buffalo steak and cheese wrap is excellent. The pizza and other sandwiches are also quite tasty. The wait staff is friendly, and the delivery service is reliable. Overall, it's a solid local option.

The restaurant is excellent. It's rare to find takeout places that use homemade chicken cutlets, but this one does, and it's fantastic!

Given our background in the food service industry, we decided to call and calmly explain the issue, approaching the call with an open mind. Unfortunately, the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and made it clear that she didn't care about our concerns. We have been loyal customers since before the pandemic and have always been kind and respectful to the staff, so this treatment was both unexpected and deeply disappointing. Sadly, we will be searching for a new restaurant from now on.
