The Westbury Tavern

Visit here and let 's face it you could be sat in any one of the Greene King pubs in spitting distance. The refit on first glance looks decent but after a while its like sitting in Currys but with a bar! I lament the old place which might have been slightly rough round the edges but you got character, proper chefs, atmosphere and above all quality home cooked food. You have nothing of those here but if boil in the bag, food is your thing then your in luck.

My daughter and I spontaneously decided to grab a quick meal out and ended up at The Westbury. We were greeted with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and received fast and efficient service with a smile. The food was good value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The pub had a cozy feel and there was a sports vibe, although it's not really our preference. It seems like a great spot for sports fans. I hope they have a designated area for it as The Westbury is quite spacious. Overall, a big pub with potential for a TV-free zone.

Excellent food, I had liver and onions, husband had braised steak, home made chips, creamy mash very tasty, will definitely be going again, also good value
