Francesca's - Newcastle upon Tyne

Located a bit outside of the city of Newcastle, this restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pasta was visually appealing, though it could benefit from a bit more pepper and salt. On the other hand, the pizza was excellent. For those with lighter appetites or who enjoy sampling different dishes, they offer a unique option that combines half pizza and half pasta. This is a fantastic way to experience a wider variety of their menu!

I love Francesca's! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly, all at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? While there may be a wait, you can enjoy a drink as you stand and take in the ambiance.

The restaurant had beautiful decor and a wonderful atmosphere, complemented by friendly staff. I visited with my daughters, and we ordered cannelloni, spaghetti bolognese, and penne bolognese. I even brought half of my cannelloni home! For dessert, we indulged in a heavenly chocolate cake and some profiteroles. The evening was delightful for all of us!

Had lunch here with my wife and daughter, staff very friendly and sociable, served quickly with drinks (pinte by peroni, 1/2 peroni, diet coke and glass by prosecco) eating was beautiful, tomaten garlauch brot, smoked haddock risotto, penne arabiata, tagliatelle carbonara, and all for less than £ 50.

Great food and atmosphere. A very novel idea as you can order your favourite pasta and pizza dish as a half and half! Ridiculously reasonably priced food and drink too, with an authentic, rustic and Italian feel. The only complaint I'd have is that the queuing time was longer than usual, and there was no option to book. But a big queue is always a good sign!
