Rice Kungfu - Newcastle upon Tyne

Ordered the most revolting food ever. I had to throw it in the bin. They should not be able to sell that !

I ordered from Rice KungFu twice in March 2021. The first time, my delivery was 30 minutes late and the Pad Thai dish was disappointing, lacking vegetables and flavor. Despite this, I gave them another chance. The second order, delivered 45 minutes early, was even worse. The crispy beef with fried rice was unappetizing, with questionable ingredients and tasteless rice. I ended up throwing most of it away and felt ill afterwards. I will not be ordering from Rice KungFu again.

Tonight, we waited for over 2 hours for our takeout order. Despite our repeated attempts to reach the restaurant by phone, we were always met with a busy signal. When the order finally arrived, the food was terrible. The curry was gritty and the Kung Pao was bland. Both dishes ended up in the trash. We had to make another meal for the children as it was too late for them to wait. We were extremely disappointed and if possible, we would give this restaurant zero stars. We will not be ordering from this Chinese restaurant again and we do not recommend it to anyone.

Vile. Ordered salt and pepper chicken and 2 5 in 1s. Salt and pepper chicken was vile, no flavour apart from a weird horrible taste, didn’t taste fresh at all. My partner found a small black hair in his food too so couldn’t even finish it. £16.60 for that. Emailed to complain (as stated on website) no answer, rang the shop The next day and got spoken to disgustingly and told I should have rang up so they could take away my half eaten meal. Can’t help because he didn’t work that day, shouting down the phone at me because THEY leave hairs in their food then sell it. Disgusting won’t be going back especially after that customer service and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

This restaurant does not even deserve half a star. The service was terrible - I had to wait 2 hours for my food, and when it finally arrived, it was of poor quality. I do not recommend this place and will tell my friends to avoid it.
