I felt like it was overpriced. My son ordered a cheese and ham panini, but received a ham salad baguette with cheese spread instead. It wasn't even toasted and definitely didn't resemble a panini. I was disappointed to see the chef/server smoking a cigar while walking around as well. Overall, I was not impressed with my experience.
While waiting for my family at the RVI, I decided to explore the area and came across a cafe by the lake. The cafe was decorated with balloons for a birthday party and had a lively atmosphere with many people enjoying delicious-looking pizza. I chose to get a latte to go, which was decent and reasonably priced. The location was fantastic with beautiful views of the lake.
We stopped for a coffee and a slice of cake while walking our dog. The coffee was excellent and the two slices of orange cake were delightful. The service was friendly and we even overheard someone saying that it was the best pizza they had ever had. We will definitely be back to try it for ourselves.
Really friendly service, amazing coffee and sells bird feed so you can pass the time drinking your coffee, would recommend!
We have visited the park a few times since lockdown to walk our dogs and now this cafe is our favourite food place to visit in Newcastle. The coffee is amazing and the pizza is delicious and there’s nothing nicer than sitting beside the lake whilst enjoying the lovely food and drink. We had the goats cheese pizza today along with cappuccinos.
