La Charrita Mexican Sea-food - NEWHALL

Wow! This is my favorite vegan restaurant in Santa Clarita. The vegan pozole is absolutely amazing—I couldn't believe it was vegan! I'm so happy I discovered this place, especially since most places include meat in their dishes. I can't wait to try more of their vegan offerings!

We were recommended La Charrita after visiting the Gentle Barn, praised as a delightful spot with a vegan menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the extensive selection of vegan options available. Despite it being a busy day, the small staff remained friendly and accommodating, taking the time to address all our questions and provide perfect recommendations. The food was fantastic! We ordered the chimichanga with mushroom asada, carne de jugo, and a few street tacos, including one with adobada (soy lures in adobo sauce) and nopalitos (cactus). Everything was flavorful and delicious. I've never been to a restaurant serving soy curls, so it was exciting to see them featured, especially as I've been cooking with them for years. We’ll definitely return when we’re in the area!

The food and service were excellent. I ordered the Birria Tacos, and the beef was tender, with all the flavors enhancing the dish. I highly recommend this restaurant.

For a Mexican place, I was particularly disappointed with the prices and the amount of food you receive! Tell me why I only ordered 8 tacos and a quesadilla and I paid over $60! There are far more options in Santa clarita and better options for Mexican food for this price

New favorite spot in Santa Clarita!!! Lots of places have vegetarian and vegan options now, right? Okay, sure, but this place has an entire menu dedicated to veggie food! So many great options! Plus, I actually like that they still serve meat because the rest of my family was still happy going there. Next point: my family loved everything we got! I went with my dad and grandma, who are both 100% Mexican, and they thought the food was awesome and authentic. I?m super looking forward to getting to try something new every time I visit SCV.
