My friends from Bedford and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning in February 2019. We were in the area for a sporting event at the nearby East London Rugby Club ground and decided to grab a bite to eat and some tea before the event. The staff at the rugby ground recommended this place, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quirky interior decor. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed a delicious bacon baguette and tea. The prices were also quite reasonable for London.
7 of us rocked up, only one of the staff there but was able to get our food out in a timely manor. The food was very good, had the big breakfast, very good, their lunches looked and smelt great almost wished I’d gone for their Korean spicy chicken. Loved the quirkiness of the decor, would recommend if your in the area.
We stayed in an apartment close-by over the weekend and our host recommended this place for breakfast. The atmosphere is nice, it 's such a cute place with a charming interior. We liked it so much that we went there for breakfast every single day of our stay. The meals are very reasonably priced for London, the owner/staff were so sweet and we always left absolutely stuffed and happy : I highly recommend the R breakfast , you won 't need anything else to eat until dinner :D
I hadn't visited this restaurant in 9 months and was excited to have a good cup of coffee. However, it seems that the staff has changed and they were not as welcoming as before. The coffee was only average. Unfortunately, I couldn't sit inside because a group of council workers had taken over all the seats for a meeting.
