Samrat Tandoori - Newham

This was my first visit to the restaurant. It is a good-sized establishment with very friendly and accommodating staff. The food was quite good, although the chicken was slightly overcooked. We ordered 2 starters, 3 mains, 3 rice dishes, 2 naan breads, 1 side dish, poppadoms, 1 beer, and 2 cokes which came to a total of £71.

The food and service at this restaurant are always exceptional. It's the best food we've had and we will definitely be back, especially for the delicious post-dinner Tia Maria shot!

I have been coming here for years and I have to say they have definitely been one of my favourites in the area. But lately their food has really improved in my oppinion, I love their food, even in the morning ashamedly it’s enjoyable. If you’re planning on sitting in, take your time, relax and enjoy your evening, the food isn’t rushed, it’s cooked well to a nice pace, if you are frustrated with the service then you might be with someone you don’t enjoy talking to but respect to Samrat, best food in the area in my opinion and Ive looked everywhere. Korma, masala, vindaloo with garlic naan, pilau rice and a mango lassi for The fun … amazing

Normally haven’t a problem with this restaurant but today I ordered my food asked if it came with rice, the staff member then asked his colleague and then told me yes, food turned up missing a rice, so I called back and informed them they said no problem they will sent one out when driver is back. They then phoned me back and said one of the dishes didn’t come with rice so pay the driver, i told him I was told over the phone it came with rice and don’t think it’s right I have to pay for something that wasn’t my fault when 1 I was told it did come with rice and 2 my food would have gone cold while waiting, he then passed the phone to the person that took my order who denied what I said and lied and said the complete opposite to what he actually said over the phone. Very disgusted with the service I have received today

I recently ordered delivery from this restaurant and the food arrived quickly, hot, and delicious. I have dined in here before and the delivery service was just as impressive. I would definitely order from here again.
