Jags Newington

I have been to Jags 4 or 5 times as it is my local restaurant. Atmosphere and service are fantastic, the food is absolutely terrible

I ordered home delivery for my 97-year-old mother who is unable to leave the house due to lockdown. I was looking for a solution to provide her with a delicious meal delivered to her doorstep. Despite being hesitant as I had never ordered from this outlet before, I took a risk and ordered chicken pasta crema pollo and garlic bread for my mother. She is a picky eater with stomach problems who always wants her food hot upon arrival. Jag's exceeded my expectations in every way. The professional delivery driver arrived on time, the food was piping hot and of excellent quality, and the receptionist who took my order was helpful and friendly. I will definitely be ordering from Jag's again.

My experience at Jags Newington was a complete disaster. The manager was rude, lazy, and used vulgar language. The service was pathetic and the atmosphere was hostile. The manager's behavior was so disgraceful that it seemed like she belonged in a prison. This restaurant has so much potential, but the manager is running it into the ground. Something needs to be done about this terrible situation before it's too late.

I took my family and my mother, who is a sufferer of dementia, to eat at Jags Newington. We looked at the menu after sitting down which was grossly overpriced, especially after looking at the serving sizes of the meals of the people on the table next to us. We decided on our meals, however, the waitress seemed to be unaware of our presence, and decided to stand there on her phone rather than serve our table. I got up and asked the manager, who rudely told me to get off her arse because she was obviously busy, and that she would come soon. 10 minutes later, the manager came over visibly annoyed, and when my mother, who, having waited so long forgot her order and said she needed to have another look, the manager started tapping her feet and told another waiter going past This is why I hate **** oldies . My children were shocked, and my mother felt awful. I suppose this lady with brunette hair was the manager, as she seemed to enjoy bossing her sidekicks around. I feel sorry for them. After taking our orders and with a scoff, stomping away back to the hole which they called a kitchen, we waited more than 30 minutes for the food. My mother, wife and children were starving, so we decided to get up and leave. The manager tried to stop us, but when we refused to follow her commands (which she was obviously not used to), she hurled insults and more vulgar language at us. This was disgusting.

Long waiting time with below average food... poor customer service Just taking orders while .. no one in kitchen... Uber people waiting... everytime you ask- how long... 2 minutes Never coming here again for average food
