The food was excellent, with large servings of chicken parmesan and a mildly spiced curry that was still tender. Two of us ordered the slow-cooked, smoked pork neck and it was hands down the best meal I've had in weeks.
The food at this restaurant is always delicious, but the 15% public holiday surcharge is quite high. I strongly recommend not going here during a hens party or football event... it can get pretty wild.
The pub exceeded my expectations in a pleasant surprise. The staff were welcoming, the food was fresh and well-prepared. However, I wish there were more beer options on tap and a more creative dessert menu. The decor was a mix of old and new, although I found the pine-lined ceiling to be a bit claustrophobic. Overall, I was pleased with our dining experience and appreciated the attentive service we received. A shoutout to the lady who took care of us in the dining room, her service truly enhanced our evening.
Swiss Mountain Hotel is an odd name for an Australian pub, with an even more unusual exterior. But despite its underwhelming appearance, the menu, the service, and the food is overwhelmingly good. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Daylesford area want to experience family friendly, tasty tucker with the locals.
We had dinner here and really enjoyed the food. Hubby had the parma and I had the eggplant and tofu curry. Well flavored and a good portion size. Really great old pub.
