Lewis Fish And Chips - Newlyn

This is one of the best fish and chip shops in Newlyn. The fish is outstanding and cooked fresh to order, coated in a wonderfully crispy and delicious light batter. Parking can be a challenge, so plan ahead and be prepared to wait in line to place your order and again to collect it. Fortunately, the staff are very efficient, so you won’t have to wait long. They close around 8 PM, so make sure you’re in line before then to avoid disappointment. Keep in mind that the menu may be limited later in the evening, as this place is extremely popular (pun intended). They now accept card payments, which is a nice bonus. Be sure to carve out some time for a visit—you won’t regret it!

This was my first visit, and I was not disappointed. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, and the food tastes fantastic!

After visiting the Christmas lights in Mousehole and Newlyn, we stopped for cod and chips. The food was cooked to order, so it was very fresh, and the batter was light, airy, and delicious. I'm sure we'll be back again!
