Fig Tree - Newmarket on fergus

I highly recommend this restaurant! I went with a group of 10, and the staff were fantastic, taking care of us very thoughtfully. The food was superb, and the cocktails were exceptional. I give it 5 stars!

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant, enjoying a tasty scone and apple crumble. The ambiance and decor were also quite pleasing.

I’m sorry to say that my recent visits to the Fig Tree at Dromoland have left me disappointed. Although I have enjoyed dining there in the past, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the food. Despite the attentive service from the staff, the high prices no longer seem justified given the average quality of the meals. For €100 for two main courses and two desserts, diners should anticipate a much higher standard in their dining experience.

In general, the restaurant is very good. However, it is quite expensive. The Belgian Waffle dessert was a bit underwhelming, as it seemed store-bought and lacked flavor. Despite this, everything else we ordered was quite delicious. We dined in the Walled Garden, which was absolutely stunning.

Good food and wine maybe a little bit pricy. Staff very attentive. Did not check our certificates even when we asked them did they want to see them. We had table booked for did not realise that the Fig tree closes at sharp so we did not have time for coffee. Might be an idea to mention when booking that u are required to leave promptly at Would have been good to know this. Think during the winter I would eat lunch hour.
