At some point we ended up in front of cynthias chinese, and we decided to interfere. the first thing that met us was that all workers were dressed in traditional Chinese clothes; ornate silk dresses and lick. I confess that I do not know what would traditionally mean in this context, but there was a more formal air for the culinary experience. we started the meal with a hot and acidic suppe. it didn't take long until the suppe arrived. the small bowl of the suppe was presented in an interesting brass ball-like portioning. our server turned the top of the world down to reveal the suppe inside. something new for us. the suppe itself was good for me. slightly more acidic than the average hot and soup. swmbo was not so enthusiastic about the suppe. then to our main courses. a server brought us beef and broccoli and general tao chicken. the bark dish sat on another style brass server, and the chicken dish had an interesting flower at one end, made of very thin slices of carrots. the server wanted to start eating, but I had to ask myself to do it myself so that I could make pictures first! Both dishes filled our tastes. service was excellent. a server, especially in pleasant chatter. Moreover, several employees quickly or cleanly fed and checked how we were on the way. a very nice meal.
More wonderful place for Chinese food you could say that this place is quite expensive, but you don't get fried rice and egg rolls. this is authentic Chinese food, well cooked, well served, and expensive good. the restaurant is clean (this is not the case with so many Chinese restaurants in toronto) and the service was always good. I have been going to cynthia for more than 15 years and can honestly say that I was never disappointed. general tao chicken and ok bark is more than ok. the chicken with crispy leaves is good, but can sometimes be a little salty. king prawns in garlic butter sauce is excellent. very good food, very reasonable prices.
We ordered takeout because it's a tradition for us to have Chinese food on birthdays. I really appreciate that they offer gluten-free options, so I can enjoy the meal too. Plus, they gave us a nice certificate for free chicken fried rice, which was a delightful bonus!
Always excellent! This is the best Chinese food north of Bloor St. Visiting on a night with karaoke can be a bit overwhelming, but the service and food quality are fantastic. Highly recommended!
My family has been dining at this restaurant for years, and we’ve always experienced excellent service and food. The quality of the Chinese cuisine is outstanding. I highly recommend it!
