Continental Eaterie - Newport

This is a fantastic restaurant with delicious desserts and a friendly staff. I really miss visiting often, and I hope to return soon for their incredible chocolate Guinness cake.

A magnificent place to eat. Let me clarify something straight away. This is not a greasy spoon but actually a very upmarket Cafe in the true meaning of the word. We have been eating here regularly for over a year and can say without exception every meal has been absolutely lovely. Breakfast is magnificent with absolutely no grease. The bacon is nicely thick and not full of salt like many are. In addition to breakfasts the Continental serves both English and Greek food which is cooked to order using high quality ingredients. There is also a range of wonderful afternoon teas to tempt you as you return from shopping.

A lovely little restaurant and café located in the heart of Newport city center, featuring a diverse range of culinary influences from across Europe. The atmosphere is charming, and the staff is friendly. The food is outstanding, and the Greek coffee is a must-try. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The woman who served us was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!
