Georgie's - Newport

If you find yourself in Newport, make sure to visit this restaurant. I plan to eat here every time I'm in Newport—I'm actually staying at a hotel nearby right now! Their pasta is fantastic for lunch, so definitely give it a try! I also really enjoyed the vegan salad for some reason. However, the desserts are quite sweet; they might be a bit too much for one person, in my opinion.

I would rate this restaurant a solid 5 stars, but I have to deduct one star due to a pricing mix-up. Overall, it's a lovely place with fresh food and great service from a very friendly staff. We tried various dishes and enjoyed everything. The reason for the minus one star is that we came during lunchtime and wanted to order something we had seen online, but it wasn't listed on the menu. When we asked our server if it was available, he confirmed that it was from the dinner menu. He quoted a price of $37, but I later saw it listed as $45 on the bill. Despite this issue, I would definitely return the next time we're in Newport!

This restaurant is even more stunning in person than it looks in the photos online. We had a reservation for that day and were seated right away. Our server was incredibly friendly. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and we also enjoyed the drinks—definitely try the Margarita cocktail!

The food was wonderful. We have the Calamari that was perfectly cooked with a spicy Aioli sauce. I got the herbal crust hoolibut with Alfredo sauce and my husband got the flame boiled Halibut with Mango Salsa both well. The only withdrawal was that we came too late and the poor waitress was hammered as a closing server. I felt as often as the manager of him could help. Otherwise it was a good experience.

We were looking for a place to eat after a trip to the Oregon Aquarium and a local couple recommended Georgies. We arrived around 2 pm thinking much of the lunch crowd had dissipated by then only to find a sign out front that they were at capacity. I went inside to see about the wait for a table and the host said he could find one right away. We had to wait a bit as they were very busy but the food was worth the wait. I had the crab and shrimp Louie. The seafood was fresh and the dressing outstanding. My table mate said it was the best tuna fish sandwich she had ever had. My husband’s coconut shrimp was delicious. And the view is outstanding. This is a place we will definitely return to.
