La Roca Mexican - Newport

Possibly the best Mexican food I’ve had on the Oregon coast. Definitely worth stopping in!

The food is exceptional for this area and definitely worth a visit. My only critique would be the somewhat outdated decor. There is a slight language barrier with some of the staff, but they make a genuine effort to accommodate every customer.

Food was just okay, maybe it's just me but I prefer to have my rice and beans hot (they were barely luke warm). Service was pretty non-existent since they seemed more interested in giggling with the kitchen.

The food was quite good and flavorful. They were busy and at full capacity, so I couldn't get through on the phone to place a takeout order, which forced me to drive over and order in person. The portions were generous. While the flavors weren't exactly what I'm used to from San Diego/Baja, La Roca still offers very good food.
