New China Buffet - Newport

I held a event there for a large gathering. The staff was amazing to work with and very attentive while remaining behind the scenes. We had the meeting room and we were assigned a server who took care of the entire room. The establishment was clean and you are greeted each time you walk in the door. The food was typical Chinese buffet quality so you can't expect made to order items however the food was hot and they kept items coming. I am very pleased and will continue to use them going forward.

Depending when you go they may or may not have all of their food out. Go when it is busy. They'll stay on top of it.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this place deserves one imo. I stopped in for dinner around 8:20pm Thursday 3/14/2024. The majority of the food on the buffet was missing and what remained did not look good/fresh. I grabbed a few items and waited for the buffet to be restocked. 30 minutes later none of the buffet items were restocked. At 9:00pm I approached the buffet one final time to discover that they had still not restocked the buffet with any new/fresh items or filled the items that they were out of. So, I went to the cash register to pay for my dinner and I pointed out to the manager about the quality of the food on the buffet and that half of the buffet items were missing. I was charged full price anyway. So, I paid my bill and left the store. I will not return to a place that doesn’t value me as a customer. This was a terrible experience and the staff at this Chinese buffet should be ashamed of their food and their service. Horrible!

Maybe it's me, and i'm just getting tired of tipping everybody, but to receive grief over not tipping at a buffet is disgusting. All you did was bring me a drink and one refill.... A lot of buffets have the drink station open to the customers, but I think your business does is to shake people down for a tip. I WILL NOT TIP AT A BUFFET....NOT NOW AND NOT EVER

Most food was barely warm. Gives me a little concern. Don't want to get sick!
