Portabella's Italian Bistro - Newport

Delicious food and outstanding service! The portion sizes are generous for the price. I will definitely return!

My husband and I had a meal at this restaurant and we were impressed. The air conditioning was fantastic, providing a refreshing escape from the heat outside. The newly updated decor gave the space a fresh and clean feel. Our food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious; we ordered the calzone and lasagna, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress was neither too young nor too old, but she was very pleasant and attentive. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! Jessica provided us with excellent service. The marinara sauce had an incredible flavor. We tried the seafood pasta and shrimp Alfredo, and both were fantastic dishes. The only thing that would have improved our experience would be a lunch menu offering lower prices and smaller portions.

We ate with a party of 9 after a day of hiking in the park it seems that they have solved the really bad service problem with new waiting staff. It was a little uneven (probably on the size of the group and the fact that one of them appeared brand new) but they were very attentive and clearly try hard. Everyone thought it was very good food (ordered with a rather great variety) the spicy chicken pasta I had was really good. Save space for the cheesecake desserts! We'd eat there again.
