Stoneacre Garden - Newport

This restaurant impresses with its presentation and ambiance: a beautiful open dining room, laid-back atmosphere, and visually appealing dishes with generous portions. The waitress provided excellent service as well. However, the flavors of the food were unconventional. The pork dish with beans and rice was excessively sour and overly spicy, making it difficult to enjoy. While a break with plain rice and some cooling avocado could have balanced out the flavors, it was consistently sour and spicy. The chickpea burger on naan looked appetizing, but lacked seasoning and flavor, apart from some overly vinegary cucumbers and bland aioli. The salad also had a predominant vinegar taste. The whole fried fish was topped with flavorless julienned strips of raw slaw. Incorporating well-balanced sauces could have elevated these dishes, but the chef seemed to favor sour, tart, and overly spicy flavors. It would be beneficial for the staff, other than the chef, to taste and test these dishes.

The staff at this restaurant, including the server, bartender, and hostess, provided great service. The view from the rooftop was stunning and relaxing. The food was perfect and delicious.

In August 2022, I visited this restaurant for dinner and ordered the green curry with chicken and the tomato mozzarella salad. We were seated outside at a high table and enjoyed the warm and pleasant atmosphere. The salad was delicious but needed a bit more salt. The green curry was flavorful and colorful, but also needed some salt. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return again!

WOW!!! honestly the best restaurant experience I've had in awhile. the food was AMAZING! from the biscuit to the lobster bene and the chicken and waffles. and the drinks and service, even better. can't wait to come back!

Spacious pretty restaurant with nice outdoor seating. Food and drinks were great! Staff very friendly!
