Quick service and good entrees but iffy fries. Not the best there. Ordered the hoisin portobello noodles and while they were delicious, they did not taste all that hoisin-y, which saddened me as a hoisin lover. That being said, the food was solidly good (save the fries) and the service was PHENOMENAL. They squeezed us in outside and our waitstaff was very friendly. The atmosphere was nice but nothing special. Overall a decent restaurant, if a bit pricey. I do appreciate how gratuity is included automatically since the workers deserve to be paid a living wage. Vegetarian options: Separate vegetarian menu exists, all items of which can be made vegan. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian menu includes items that can all be made vegan. Gluten free is available upon request. This has been my ‘go too’ restaurant when I visit Newport Oregon. This was my 4th visit and after 15 years they had added an upstairs and added an expanded outdoor section. Nice! I started with the Weathervane Scallops, which are served kebob style over grilled asparagus and smoked goat cheese with a balsamic vinaigrette.amazing! My main dish was the Wild King Salmon. Lightly grilled Salmon served over a poblano pepper and Gorgonzola cheese, pan seared vegetables and linguineWOW! I paired this with a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc. My better half devoured the Rock Fish Tacos and washed it down with the Sunriver Pilsner. We finished by splitting the Taza de Crema con Chocolate which I had with a nicely sweet Moscato.
