Blackie's By The Sea - Newport Beach

This is undoubtedly the best bar on the beach! It's a local favorite, thanks to its fantastic location, and it has a welcoming, laid-back vibe—no pretentiousness here. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a game of pool. Whether you're dressed to the nines or just wearing jeans, you'll feel at ease and free to enjoy yourself.

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is lively, the beer is served ice-cold, and the selection of American music is top-notch. Plus, the people here are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love this bar! The atmosphere is fantastic, with friendly staff and the coldest drinks around. There are plenty of TVs to catch my hockey games, and it's easy to see why this place has thrived for over 80 years! There's nothing better than enjoying beers on the beach, soaking up the sun, and people-watching.

From Illinois, it was only once in 2002 at Blackie. My uncle (Butch Ditmer) was there regularly. To his honor to meet his great friends. Loved this place had a great time! The place was very quiet when I decided to sit down. Without a hint, it seems that the chair on which I have stabbed my ass was his personal chair. Never before saw so many faces fall simultaneously! Will definitely return if ever again in the area.

My all time favorite hangout spot when in Newport Beach. Blackies is the only reason I return to California every year. For me it's a destination. I have a sock full of chips I need to cash in one day. I actually found this place back around 1980 just before entering into the Army.
