Urban Cup - Newport Beach

We found this place on a whim while visiting Newport Beach. There were so many other places to choose, but this place looked so good, we just had to pass! Your menu has a good selection of food and drinks! We ordered the house fried rice and garlic noodles with filletmignon. No Vietnamese coffee is shown here. The food was delicious!!! It took a while to get out, but when it was, we were very impressed. The fillet Mignon was suuuper tender, juicy and tasteful! The garlic noodles could use more garlic, but it was still good. The fried rice was a little salty for me, but my bf thought it was good. I would definitely order both again! The part was pretty big. We both couldn't finish our food and had to take it home. The Vietnamese coffee wasn't so great. It tasted more syrup than coffee. I was disappointed because I expected the typical strong Viet coffee with condensed milk. The location is very comfortable. The beach is right in front! It's a smaller restaurant, but when we went, there were tables available and the line wasn't too long. There is a bathroom, but you need a code that could be found at the top of your entrance! Overall, the food was delicious, good serving and cheap! I would again both others but definitely not the drink!!!

Every time I come to this beach, I'll make sure I'll grab a Thai tea from Urban Corner! Nice staff and very clean place. Food is also good! My Fav is the Cajun chicken friries, make sure that with her home sauce it is sweet with a soft sharp kick after!

Solid Vietnamese/fusion area with a wide selection of dessert drinks to choose from. Tried the garlic noodles and was very satisfied with the taste. Cookies “n Cream Milkshake looked great, but I think I just paid for an overpriced chocolate milk, the cookie part of it was not where to find).

This is a great casual place, with something for everyone to get some good food. Her phò broth is pretty top notch and fillet mignon shaken beef is super tasty and delicate. Your drinks are also suitable with different options. The only thing I do not enjoy was her veggie egg roll that had a mushy-grainy consistency, but it does not take from the fact that I definitely come back and will recommend this place to others.

Their drinks are awesome and food is ok just stay away from the popcorn chicken really dry other than that everything is great. The place also has a great view.
