Dong Dong Chinese Takeaway

I have visited this restaurant several times. The staff is friendly, but the food is just okay. However, for Chinese restaurants in Newry, average is considered good. The prices are on par with other places.

I love dong dong take away. the service is great with a very pleasant and quick local delivery driver. chicken fried rice is to die for! everything ive had out of it has been 1st class. I go here quite a lot.

With some of my friends visited, awesome experience, excellent foods. Staff members was so helpful. Highly recommend, come back again

The food is cheaper than most chineses in newry and the portions are very big. However is that really worth it when the food is as bad as this places?

I have ordered food from Dong Dongs before, and I have found that the quality of the food can be hit or miss. While the lady working behind the counter is very friendly, I can't understand why the staff have never taken the time to clean the front door properly. On this particular occasion, I decided to treat myself and my daughter to a takeaway on Friday, July 24th, 2015, around 6:00 pm. I ordered fried rice, chips, and beef curry. Unfortunately, the rice was extremely oily and dark brown, and to my horror, the beef in the curry had a strange smell and color. When I removed the beef from the sauce, I discovered a piece of wire! I was shocked and disgusted, thinking about the potential harm if my 8-year-old daughter or I had accidentally eaten it. This experience was very disappointing. - M. Rea, Newry
