Greenans Steakhouse - Newry and Mourne

Prior to staying at The Aul Shop in Cabra, I searched for nearby dining options and found Greenans conveniently located across the road. My husband and I dined there on a Friday night and were impressed by their diverse menu. We opted for an Open steak sandwich and a southern fried chicken burger for our daughter, both of which were delicious. We requested no salad or dressing on our orders and they were prepared exactly as we asked. The steak sandwich was served on garlic bread and topped with cheese, and the prices were reasonable. Despite not usually indulging in dessert, we couldn't resist the excellent Apple Crumble. The following morning, we returned for breakfast at 10am and once again enjoyed our meal, which was both tasty and affordably priced. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome, and even the locals were welcoming towards us.

We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday party here over the weekend and it was fantastic.

For a Sunday dinner as a group of 6 adults and 2 children. we had a nice meal and the staff was very helpful and friendly. the restaurant is very child-friendly with a play area. my only complaint is that the personal. did not wear facial covers that I found very surprising because of covid19. that's the reason I didn't give 5 stars.

My husband and I called in to Greenans on Friday evening for the 2 burger and 2 pints deal for £20. It was delicious well worth the money. The service was excellent and we were made feel very welcome and will definitely be back.

We went as a family of 4 for dinner. Lovely family atmosphere and the food was unreal!! Can’t wait to go back. Definitely 5*
