Shaking Crab (newton)

It was my dad 's birthday, we had plans for another restaurant he requested only to find out they close at 5pm on Sundays ?? So we ended up at Shaking Crab (Newton) last-minute, and none of us had ever been there.EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! ??We all had a spectacular experience; the restaurant is very clean, the decor is fun, service is prompt friendly, every single thing we ordered was absolutely immaculate, portions are generous...then the bill came and we were dumbfounded at the affordability!I could honestly ramble for days just raving about this place, but I will just tell you to go and ENJOY!Here 's what we ordered (and recommend):-Fried pickles (best I 've ever had)-Garlic noodles (best I 've ever had)-Fried calamari (best I 've had outside of Japan)-Mac 'n ' cheese-Fried catfish basket classic fries-Crispy chicken sandwich Cajun fries-Fisherman 's platter with fried corn Cajun fries*Everything was exquisite*(we also ordered 2 glasses of white wine, a strawberry lemonade and a regular lemonade)

Food was great but service was horrible. I mean we sat at a table for 10 minutes before someone took our order and the place wasn't even full. Thankfully the food made up for the service.

A Hidden Gem/treasure if you will. A small edifice but family oriented, kind and friendly atmosphere. I went for the first time and was greeted by Alice who was absolutely Amazing from beginning to end. I went for the seafood boil with Alaskan crab, lobster tails in garlic butter sauce. I highly recommend this place to anyone worth the drive and money. The drinks to boot REALLY TASTY! I enjoyed while I was there Mango Mojitos! I recommend as well you definitely have an excellent dining experience!I will definitely Be BACK!! Alice thank you for all your help and being extra attentive! This is my favorite seafood place. It’s awesome. It feels like a secret hideaway. Small, clean with top notch food, service and drinks. Enjoy!

I went to Shaking crab for the very first time on Tuesday, it was my best friend birthday, and I can only say It was beyond my expectations, drinks and food Omg 100/10. We enjoyed our visit and definitely I'll be back soon.
