The bed was a bit hard for us on our first night there, but on request, housekeeping very quickly supplied a soft mattress topper and additional pillows. Breakfasts: Cereals and fruit were self service. Full Scottish breakfasts, toast, tea and coffee were served to the table. Three course evening meals were served to the table. There was a good choice of starters, main courses and desserts and we enjoyed our meals there. We would stay there again.
Nice, simple hotel, lots of coaches come to the hotel. Rooms: Clean and simple rooms Food drinks: Breakfast buffet Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Great value
Basic hotel, good for a transit trip. Restaurant is not recommended. 3 course menu for £25 is still too much. No taste, even a potato tastes reheated! Rooms: 3 Service: 2 Location: 2
Staff are friendly, hotel is slightly on the older side but much nicer than similarly priced hotels in this part of Scotland. It's kept fantastically clean which is a bonus. Bed was nice but my lack of sleep came from the noise. I've never stayed somwhere with such thin walls. I stay in hotels nearly every single week for work and this is honestly the noisiest. I'm writing this at 5.51am after having been woken up by next doors alarm. I have been able to hear people in other rooms click they're lights on and off. I can hear very clearly any conversation in rooms adjacent and I can hear people coughing from down the corridor. I'm not being dramatic or exadurating as I say I stay in these sorts of places every week. I simply don't understand how a place can be built with such thin walls!!
Not to my liking. Hotel room not too tidy and clean. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet
