Relic On State Street - Newtown

You won't be disappointed with the food here! I've dined here three times, and each experience has been outstanding—the pork chop, halibut, and salmon were all incredible!

We had another wonderful evening at Relic. There were three of us and we enjoyed the French Onion Soup, Caesar Salad, Tuna Tartare, Lobster Gnocchi, and the Pork Chop, which is my personal favorite. As always, the service and food were exceptional. This is the best restaurant in Bucks County.

Amanda, our server, was friendly and promptly attended to us after we were seated, offering water and bar selections. While there wasn't a wine list available, she shared what wines were offered by the glass from her personal knowledge. We enjoyed a lovely bread basket, and it was a nice touch to sample two types of oysters that weren't on the printed menu. Unfortunately, both of our chosen entrees—the hanger steak and pork chop—were unavailable on a Friday night, so we opted for filet mignon instead, which was nicely charred, accompanied by a satisfying mushroom side dish. However, the 1960s Sinatra music was a bit loud and somewhat distracting. Overall, Relic has a nice atmosphere and potential, but its prices are higher than those at Rocco's, just a block away, for similar dishes. One question remains: why isn't there a wine list at a steakhouse? One minor annoyance: it's a bit disappointing to see someone wearing a baseball cap in such a nice restaurant while dining with friends and a significant other. It would be great to see more effort put into the overall ambiance!

Our steaks were spectacular, my daughter had the Salmon special which was enormous she thoroughly enjoyed the flavor. The cozy ambiance was perfect for a night with family.

The food and service are great, but there is no wine list and few wines to choose from. When asked about bringing my own wine, they said they would charge an obscene $45 corkage fee. If they don't get this fixed. I won't be back very often.
