China Wok - NEWTOWN SQUARE

We lived in Newtown Square for many years, and China Wok was our favorite place for Chinese food. The owners are incredibly friendly as well. Even though we moved to Valley Forge over four years ago, we still make the drive back to Newtown Square just for China Wok. If you're feeling under the weather—whether it's the flu, a respiratory infection, a sinus infection, a fever, or even COVID—the best remedy is their hot and sour soup, especially when you request it extra spicy. My family swears by it! It's always worth the trip!

In my last order, I was disappointed. The recipe for the sweet and sour shrimp seems to have changed. It used to feature a thin, crispy coating on large shrimp that was deep-fried to perfection. It was really excellent. Now, however, the shrimp are smaller and come with a thick breading that has too much filler. Please bring back the original recipe!

The cheese is absolutely fantastic! I always order the General Tso's Combo with roasted rice. It includes a delicious egg roll, which is simply amazing! Plus, the portion sizes are very generous.

This is a classic Chinese takeout spot! It's fantastic and has been serving the community for as long as I can remember. Anyone who criticizes this place just doesn't understand its charm! Where else can you find good Chinese food in Newtown Square? It's right here!

Lady was nice at the counter the take out area looks very outdated.Paid $20.00 for 2 lunch specials not bad. The 4 ribs had very little meat smoothered with bbq sauce. Not much to it the chicken was mostly tendents with tons of dough. The rice was from day before. Between this place and Garden China I have not been able to locate a good asian take out spot in Marple.
