Feedback gevenVisit of Melbourne and honestly the worse food I have tried in a local Chinese restaurant. Dumplings are not even handmade and soft, can taste the thin and hardness of the skin of dumplings, which means that they were bought instead of being handcrafted. Definitely not the $ 12.80 value. The salt and pepper eggplant was a little better. Way too much too much salt. Do not even trouble the effort to finish it because it was salty. It is as if the chef was thrown only a whole salt heap on the fried plants.
Beautiful place to go a cheap and happy Chinese food! The food was heard and very satisfying, and the restaurant was cozy with a fast service. Grief I love the pages of this place, they are so delicious !! Everything I really needed was a plate of dumplings and some of these potato and algae pages and I was discontinued. Grief But of course I tried some of the other dishes, and I found the squid pretty wonderful. Everything is worth it, it is worth to try so that they are not settled with one of the decisions.
If you're planning to go as a group, expect the food to come at different times and expect the staff to forget half the order as well. They will not be apologetic either as the prawn dumplings can take two hours apparently which they will neglect to tell you. Also make sure to order steamed because they burn the bottom of the dumplings if pan fried. I would not recommend this place for dumplings as dumpling hut is a better choice down the road.
For a place that calls the dumpling king, I expected much better. At first, there are only 4 dumpling varieties from which you can choose, and you can not mix and match - its 8 or 12 and that's it. Second, the dumplings are gluggy, much too doughy and flavlos. I tried to improve them with the classic 2-1 soy and vinegar combination without success. I also ordered chicken and corn soup, which I could literally touch after 10 minutes - took that long to cool, much too hot - and again farmless and had the consistency of over-cooked porridge. The real murderer for me was that when I asked for the bill, the waitress got angry, said she was busy cleaning the tables and telling me that I should pay at the counter. Simply unacceptable. 1.5 points only because I have no food poisoning.
A group of us went and I ordered the pan fried pork dumplings. They were dry and tasteless and left a bad texture in their mouth after eating them.
