Henpecked Cottage Bed Breakfast

This place is fantastic! Janice and Derryk are wonderful hosts, brimming with helpful tips and insights about local attractions and sights to explore. Janice is a culinary expert and prepares the most delicious muesli, along with amazing cooked breakfasts, primarily using homegrown ingredients. It’s just what you need before tackling a hike in the nearby Hakaramata Ranges, which are just a short drive away. The house is tranquil, cozy, bright, and airy. Our stay here was the ideal way to kick off our holiday in New Zealand, and I highly recommend it.

We spent a few days here with my partner and had a wonderful experience. The view from our room in the morning was lovely, and the bed was really comfortable, making for a perfect stay. Derek and Janice were always cheerful and provided us with great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. Breakfast was delicious, featuring fresh produce from the garden, including eggs, fruit, and jam, as well as porridge and toast.
