After we ran away from the crowds, we came to this big little place and we knew that was worth it. they had some chairs for us and some cool drinks to keep us well hydrated while others finished their meal. great food and fast service. whispers and fries seem to be their specificity, although other items are on the menu and are spectacularly advised when served on the table next to us.
Small, cute, and unassuming place with great food. The older person seating us was very rude and wouldn’t let us sit where we asked for while seating another couple at the same table a little later. However, the older lady serving us later was very nice and sweet. The food was absolutely delicious (probably the best I have had in south France over the past 20 days. I had the mussels with Provençal sauce and my wife hag the gnocchi with Provençal sauce. She only ate half of hers but I gladly finished both. Absolutely delicious sauce. The best red sauce I have had in a very very long time. Very inexpensive too. Only €27.5 for both dishes.
Fantastic authentic homemade food and entertaining friendly staff. We had onion waffle and escargot as appetizers, I liked the escargot (eaten with shells on! even though I never like escargot. Then the best Coq au Vin for main meal. Extra special was the delicious sangria. We told everyone who stopped to look at the menu that it was amazing and they all sat down to enjoy it as well. Yummy:
Very warm welcome from Marie, who always has good anecdotes to tell! Very friendly atmosphere, and excellent food (the punch was great).
