The restaurant is small, no air conditioning, few tables outside, but the food is excellent, the staff helpful and the whole experience is without reproach. You have to have the time to spend to the restaurant because it takes some time to get your order. Highly recommend it!
The food at this restaurant is not bad, in fact it can be very good - if you get any. My wife and I have visited this restaurant several time. Often we have had to wait unacceptably long from ordering our dish till we receive, we have got sngry and we have complained, but when the food arrives it usually is tasty and our mood has improved. Till our last visit in June 2017. I ordered brochette and my wife ordered schwarma. We said to ourselves: we know this restaurant, we have decided to visit it ourselves, we will not let ourselves upset if we have to wait. But zurprise! My brochette came after only 5-10 minutes. I started eating and we both started to drink the half pichet of red wine we had planned to share. But what about the Schwarma my wife had ordered? It did not turn up. But, we said to ourselves: It is probably the business as usual, as we have experienced it so often. Let's be patient, keep ut the good mood and not complain. But at the pichet started to empty and as bits of chicken in my brochette became fewer and fewer the thought struck us: Maybe it is not business as usual - maybe they have completely forgotten my wife's meal. And that is what they had, it turned out. The pichet empty and my meal finished, we found out that it was too late to start all over again with a new meal and told the waitress that. So my wife got only some tastes from my dish and two glasses of red wine that evening. Well, everyone can do a mistake. that's fair enough. Nobody is perfect. We accept that. But it is a question of how you handle your mistakes. And Les Pins d'Alep and the waitress did not handle the mistake in a professional and satisfactory manner. Not a word of regret. No compensation. The waitress came with the full bill for my brochette and for the pichet of red wine (and it is not very cheap - you can get a 3-meal course at many places for the price of my brochette) and she almost treated us as it should be our fault. So, Les Pins d'Alep - this is not good enough! You have to improve your service level and professionalism substantially. We might, however, give you another chance. Hopefully I can write a more positive review then. Yours, in hope of substantial improvmenets, Ragnar
Tucked behind the port on Boulevard Stalingrad, we are so pleased we decided to eat there . Family run and all prepared by the lady of the family. Very popular with locals. The food was outstanding and service very friendly. We would recommend to anybody who is acquainted with middle eastern food. We noted the closing time on TA did not reflect its actual evening closing time. You may wish to double check as you may or may not be disappointed if you arrive at 21.25 hrs
Very warm and friendly service, nice location and big choice of vegetarian and/or meat dishes. We tried Tabbouleh and Kibbeh as Starters and Moussaka and chicken brochette as entrée accompanied by a carafe of house rosé wine.We already visited this place for take-out shawarma but wanted to try the stay-in option and were not disappointed!Everything is freshly made and well served so be sure to come early to have all the options.
If you like Middle Eastern food, you will love Les Pins d'Alep. The food was excellent and the Arak (Ouzo) was terrific. The service was also good, and we will return.
