Zur Rheinschanz - Niederwerth

This is a very special place. The owner has been operating this restaurant for decades and the food is very traditional German. So if you like a typical German experience, you should go there. In addition, it is on the only inhabited island of the Rhine.

I only found this restaurant with luck. I can highly recommend this place. It belongs to an old German couple. When we went there, there were only elderly people. The food is freshly made German food and was excellent. We had schnitzel with roast potatoes and a special cordon ball with croquettes.

The island of Niederwerth is known for excellent carnival, good economical and tasty earthberries. the place is not at mayen but at vallendar. in this respect, the assignment by tripadvisor is worthy of improvement. so on the island near vallendar you will find a short search for the hotel to the Rhineschanz. it is original, simple and good. the reception is extremely warm, irrespective of whether an imperial highite, as a wall photo testifies, or any simple person visits the restaurant. everyone is treated equally well. good, strong German cuisine, as you will find it only rarely. this to human-friendly trips in remarkably large portions. after eating a good weather will be offered a course over the island.
