Maybe the cook used a few drops of the Jack Daniels sauce to rub on the pork chops. The iced tea tasted blah. I won't be going back anytime soon
Went here for breakfast earlier today. Yes, they open at 6am i think. A friend, my boyfriend and I ordered their group meal for 4 which includes 4 chops (pork, you can choose from 4 flavors BBQ, Chili, Gravy and Jack Daniels, we got 1 each 4 rice, 4 iced tea, bacon cracklings and nacho with salsa. This set is for 649 pesos only which is sooooo sulit. I loved all the flavors! BBQ was good and so is the Chili. The Jack Daniel one is a bit off for me, the liquor taste is a little too strong for me. Their gravy is good, i like it! The nachos with salsa was delish as well! And the bacon cracklings.... Ugh sooo good! Though it's not bacon like Bacon, it's bacon-cut pork deep-fried to crisp perfection, haha. (You can google the difference between bacon and bacon-cut in case i got you confused lol We also tried their desserts, fudge brownie and red velvet mug cake which was served hot, im guessing they would have it baked/microwaved upon order. Both was good but a little too sweet for my liking. Over all, we loved everything we ordered. From the appetizers to desserts. Oh, they also have unli margarita for 149pesos which i look forward to trying next time. :
I probably won't dine here again even if it was free. Known for their chops (chicken or pork) that come in 4 flavors, I was excited to try out this fairly new restaurant. For Php 119, you have get rice, chops, and sides (nachos or buttered vegetables). Add in 20 pesos and you already have a glass of iced tea. I got the BBQ pork chops, but I found that the flavor of the BBQ crust was ok but there seemed to be something funky with the meat itself. I stopped eating halfway and I still have that weird aftertaste hours after I ate. The nachos were nothing special, just chips with a quick, unimpressive salsa. I would have been better off enjoying jollibee chickenjoy next door at almost half the price. The place was small, but has airconditioning and a washroom. The one taking my order didn't seem quite accommodating or helpful. Food Quality: 1.5 Service Quality: 2.5 Ambiance: 3.0 Cheers, Chef Jay
This was the first time I ate in Chopstop (Mckinley Exchange Corporate Center, EDSA). I asked the crew, what is their best seller and she offered the Chops meals, choose of chicken and pork, while the sauce are choose of BBQ, chili, gravy and Jack Daniel's. I chose Pork BBQ. The food presentation was nice. This dish has a bit sweet and sour taste. The meat was coated with flour and glaze of BBQ sauce. The dish served with veggie or nachos. The Resto ambiance is quite good. A stoplight placed near counter. The table top is asphalt design, the wall is long road design connected to the table. Try to visit the place and I sure you will agree with me.
I wish they had coffee.
