Just before we said goodbye to our eventful EATStaycation at Hotel Jen Manila, we just had to check out their Japanese restaurant and have another feast. As you may have already read for several times now, we love Japanese food so much and we would always have it in our top three go to cuisines whenever we eat out. Good thing, Hotel Jen Manila has a very reputable Japanese restaurant in Kitsho and we were really excited to try it out for the very first time. Who can say no to UNLIMITED sashimi, sushi, tempura, sukiyaki, and teppanyaki, right? Well, if you want to EATSperience Hotel Jen Manila’s Weekend All-You-Can-Eat at Kitsho Japanese Restaurant, keep reading because you will surely love it!
Located at the Ground floor of Hotel Jen Manila is Kitsho, one of the finest Japanese restaurants in the country. During our staycation, we had the pleasure of trying out their Weekend Ala Carte Buffet! . With Chef Masahiro Mizumoto at the helm of the kitchen, Kitsho is famous for his mouth-watering, authentic Japanese dishes.
Spoil yourself over Japanese dishes at Kitsho Restaurant Sake Bar for only P1,395. Yes, for that amount you can get unlimited servings of your favorite tempura, sushi, sashimi and many more. The Executive Chef is a pure Japanese so expect only the best and authentic Japanese Cuisines that you truly deserve.
Japanese buffets are a bit tricky. For a hotel to feature a Japanese buffet, they must have their star player, a Japanese trained chef, who could back up every dish served from the kitchen. For Hotel Jen, they have their in house Executive Japanese Chef Mizumoto Masahiro. Kitsho means smile and we all can 't help but smile as we view the fresh sashimi and sushi displayed on the buffet bar. As Chef runs us his entire menu, we view a list of classic Japanese food fair with unmatching quality. The servers advise us that we can ask for anything on the menu and they will cook it upon ordering. Not lile the usual buffet service where you can line up and get your own food. I like that you get hot food everytime, but it kind of lessens the pace and momentum of when you are eating. On the menu, the Teppan dishes (shrimp, beef and unagi) were very tasty and appetizing. You can also appreciate the sizes of their oyster fry. You can taste the freshness in each oyster, crunchy coating but very juicy inside. Another favorite of mine is the Tuna Steak. I like that it was not overcooked. I was rooting for the servers to bring rice! Haha On the menu, you can choose from a great assortment of dishes: Shrimp Teppan Unagi Tuna Steak Shrimp Fry Oyster Fry Chicken Teriyaki Squid Fry Gyoza Mabo Tofu Shrimp with Chilli Sauce Squid Tempura Beef Teppan Beef Sukiyaki Miso Soup Soba All of these dishes were phenomenal. A few might seem to be salty but everything was cooked right, no overcooked seafood at all. Chef Masahiro himself makes sure that all seafood are fresh and are of choice quality. You can see his dedication in putting forth qreat food from his kitchen and this is reflected out dining experience that day. Dining at Kitsho was definitely chill and relaxing, albeit the waiting time for the orders. The separate dining rooms allow privacy and more comfort for diners. I highly recommend a visit to Kitsho Restaurant and Sake Bar specially for people who are out to an authentic Japanese dining experience.
