A place that I would frequently hang out a lot at after school, since school was just across the street from it. Now the times have obviously changed and so has Rufo's. Obviously, we cannot admit that Rufo's has levelled up over the years. Air con, more seating, more menu items. That's all good, thanks to a former classmate of mine who has bought Rufo's from it's original owner. The classic tapa however, it's a different story. There is inconsistency during my visits, and I much preferred it back in the day. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but not amazing. Since my recent move to the Makati office, I made it a point to go to Rufo's in Poblacion since it's been years since my last visit. Through a food app, I also booked myself a wonderful 50% discount. Instead of having their tapa, I opted to give the Sizzling T Bone Steak a try. Let's keep in mind that we aren't talking about gourmet steak. With that said, it was pretty good and tender. Some sizzling steaks that I have had are other restos can be awefully chewy and tough, leading to my jaws being in pain. Who wants pain after a meal right?! One should feel satisfied after a meal. The gravy that it was drowned in was yummy, that I ate it like soup and had to ask for more when I ordered my extra rice. I also cleaned the T bone off as best as I could. Really yummy! Food: 4.0 Good, yummy, rice may need a bit of consistency. Price: 4.0 Even without the discount, the prices are fairly doable. Service: 3.5 Even if there were only 2 tables occupied in the early morning, it sometimes took a while for servers to notice that they were being called. The food was served quite quick. Ambience: 4.0 There are chairs, in and out. Nice and cool inside. I might admit that the T bone has become my fave dish. I should eat it again. Hoping that it will stay the same yummy consistency.
Been here several times as it is very close to my condo, Service is good and food is average reasonably priced, the place is a bit old need a bit of renovation.
Today morning is my second time visit here, the spectacle female server is hardworking, politely and friendly(give her a )the other staff attitude are soso even the supervisor. Opinion for the food , the bangus is super delicious today . But the T-bone steak make me disappointed, this because its be scorched and dry like a rubber. That’s totally different when I first time taken, I think maybe the chef is not in mood today.
We ordered the Rufo's special meals with my sissy. Love the pork chops and T-bone. At that place is also home cooked meals like sinigang. They are called cooking ng ina mo. Staff was very friendly. But we ended up having a stiff neck because their television is too high for us to see.
Super tasty tapa with convenient and fast delivery service. Never forget ordering extra rice. You'll need it. will recommend Rufo's for sure!
