Chez Rani - Nîmes

Really, really good Punjabi cuisine. We ordered very conservatively: onion bhaji, chicken tikka chicken tandoori (starters) butter chicken mutton Punjabi and everything was excellent. The wine list is limited but the white we had (Vins de Cévannes) was more than passable, even if not our usual choice and the cool courtyard terrace is a great spot for people watching. On top of all this the service is fast, without feeling rushed, and very friendly. Thank you Wali! We won’t visit Nimes without visiting this little gem from now on.

If our first meal at Chez Rani is any indication, these guys are head and shoulders above the rest in Nimes. Freshly-made dishes and actually enough spice to make it taste, not just look, Indian (not always the case in France). We'll be back very soon.
