Sundance Bistro - Nine Mile Falls

I decided to try the gnocchi for the first time since it was on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious! The tomato sauce tasted remarkably fresh, almost like it was made from fresh tomatoes—yum! I would definitely order that dish again. Oh, and the tiramisu? To die for! My husband and I had cleared our plates when Victoria returned about three minutes later; my husband had the veal Parmesan again and was so absorbed in the dish that I doubt he would have noticed if I left the table! On August 23, 2014, we found our new go-to date night restaurant. This was our first visit, and we were blown away! Everything is homemade and delicious! My husband chose the veal Parmesan (yes, you read that right! A restaurant in Spokane still offers veal! Woohoo!!!), which was hand-breaded and made from a real cut of veal (not ground veal). I ordered the Italian sausage risotto. I had only tried risotto once before, and that was my own attempt at making it, so I was a little apprehensive going into an Italian restaurant with a rice dish. But I’m so glad I ordered the risotto! It was packed with flavor and truly screamed “Italian”! The sausage is sourced from a local butcher, Egger Meats, so you know it’s top-notch! The restaurant is conveniently located right on the Sun Dance Golf Course on Nine Mile Road, which makes it easy to miss if you're just driving by. I don't recommend many places, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Sundance Bistro! The taste is fantastic, the portions are generous, the menu is excellent, the service is top-notch, and it's affordable! It might be a bit of a drive for some, but it's absolutely worth it! Plus, it’s a lovely ride to a wonderful family-owned restaurant! On August 23, 2014, I enjoyed the tiramisu, which I believe was fully homemade (I think she even mentioned that they made the ladyfingers themselves!). It was absolutely delicious! The veal Parmesan was a delightful surprise since not many places offer veal anymore. Everything tasted wonderful and came in generous portions. The veal was hand-breaded and a true cut from the animal (not that bottom round stuff). The Italian sausage risotto was flavorful, with delicious sausage, a generous portion, and authentic taste!

We had a lovely dining experience at this restaurant. After recently moving to Nine Mile, we first stopped in while our house was being built since it was nearby. We enjoyed our meal and the delightful conversation with Victoria. The decor was also impressive. Since then, she has suggested other places she thought we'd like. If you get the chance, be sure to experience their service. We've returned several times for both lunch and dinner. On our last visit, we missed the breakfast hours, but Walt kindly made it for us anyway. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were fantastic! R

The food and atmosphere were fantastic. What an amazing spot for dinner! The dishes were cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. The ambiance was lovely, and it was a pleasure to enjoy the background music while we dined. I’m looking forward to returning time and time again!

A true Gem. At the Sundance Golf course? Yes, probably the best Italian faire in Spokane. Great atmosphere, service and food. Walt and Victoria have a true Gem. Had 20 folks decend upon them and everything came out great. While the salads were extra they are worth every cent. We tried the Calzone's the Pesto Chicken, Chicken Piccatta, Steaks and so much more and no one was complaining about anything and all we could hear was the comments on how everthing tasted and the portions were just right and the service was incredible. Then the desserts started to show up. We have tried many peach coblers and this is by far the best. The fresh strawberry spumoni is incredible, so save room.

Chef Walt makes amazing food. Tomato Basil Bisque is a must have. Great food worth the drive.
