You can get half or full order of many items, which is awesome because the servings are so big. The food is delicious too - the onion rings are amazing. If you like Indian food ask for the special menu. The chick pea currie is awesome! Worth the visit!
During our Circle Tour trip, we made a lunch stop at this restaurant. We arrived around two o'clock and found it to be pretty quiet. We both decided to order the special, which was grilled ham and cheese served with fries.
The staff was friendly, but the Butter Chicken was disappointing. It consisted of thick-cut, slightly blanched onions and chunks of chicken in a non-creamy, clear sauce. The burgers, on the other hand, looked appetizing.
We stopped here on the way to Thunder Bay and immediately wished we had waited for lunch but still managed to eat a delicious ice cream and had a great conversation with the young lady there. The menu looked very inviting and we will make a stop on the next trip through for a meal!
My visit to NW Ontario is never complete without a trip to the Nipigon Regional Hospital with a different teen hurting themselves each summer. After a few bandages, they are usually hungry. Today we chose to go to the Sue Chef, she is a small restaurant beside the Petro Pass where the transport Trucks fill up. Her sign “Sue Chef” is quite small, and you would miss it if you were going too fast. So don’t go to fast down the 11/17! The pictures on Trip Advisor, is what it exactly looks like inside. It’s a nice restaurant to come sit down too.You need to know they have two menus. A Canadian menu, with a kid’s menu section and an Indian menu! I was told they didn’t give you the Indian menu unless people asked for it. My daughter opted for the chicken strips and fries. I’m personally tired of Hamburgers so I thought I would try the Indian menu. I ordered the butter chicken with white rice and thick Nan. The Nan was not house made, but it was nice and warm. The butter chicken was nice and came with large chunks of chicken and onions. I asked for the butter chicken to come separate from the rice. My daughter’s chicken strips were actual strips not fake chicken nuggets. The young ladies working there were polite and swift. I am looking forward to coming back to try some of the other Indian delights on the menu. As we were about to leave we saw the sign for ice cream, dipped cones, Sundays, milkshakes and slices of ice cream cake but we were too full. So if you are tired of driving, go slow, watch the sign for Sue Chef and come and give her food a try. Eat local and support a small business.
