La Casetta - Niseko-cho

This new restaurant offers a wonderful Italian dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The food is delicious with well-balanced flavors. All ingredients are locally sourced and fresh. They also offer a selection of Italian white and red wines. Reservations are required, so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. It is a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a quiet family gathering.

Hidden away and lacking any exterior signage, this restaurant may be a bit tricky to locate (from what I remember). The atmosphere is very warm and cozy, and Stephan and his wife were incredibly welcoming. As Stephan mentioned, it's the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy your meal and wine for as long as you'd like, with no rush. In the end, it was almost too comfortable (probably because we were too full to get up!). The portion sizes are quite generous right from the start, so make sure you come prepared. And be careful not to fill up on the delicious freshly baked bread! The local ingredients, especially the shellfish and venison, were truly unique to Hokkaido!
