Smitty's Family - Nisku

Ever since they implemented hostess and reception services, there has been a long wait for a table at this restaurant. The waiters seem to notice you, but it takes a while before they actually come over to seat you. Once seated, the service is efficient and the food comes out quickly. The only downside is the prolonged wait to be seated. I've observed some customers getting frustrated and leaving or simply grabbing menus and seating themselves. That option seems to work well.

The restaurant could definitely benefit from a fresher, less dreary atmosphere. The Western sandwich I ordered was mediocre, nothing to write home about. The service was decent.

We took our big daughter here for a birthday dinner as she likes this place. The pack was good and frits crisp. They were quick with service and friendly. Just something I needed for some work was cleanliness. Air ducts across peoples Food and... boiling tiles were dirty and could definitely use some cleaning, so food does not fall in your plate when the air comes.

The food was very bad, the service was so slow. We were there almost an hour before dinner. They seemed to be short staff. We were back and it was like they forgot this section. I wouldn't go there again...

We arrived at 10:45 am. The morning crowd had dwindled to about a dozen people. Menu choices were clearly described. Excellent service and friendly staff. Our order was ready in about ten minutes and done precisely as ordered. Prices are competitive with similar restaurants. Overall...a pleasant and satisfying experience.
