The interior is just as lively, although some maintenance issues are evident. On the day of my visit, I was in the mood for shawarma. The prices were set at 1,000 Naira for beef shawarma and 1,200 Naira for chicken. However, I was interested in a double sausage option and decided to ask about it. To my surprise, I was informed that they normally don’t prepare shawarma with sausage unless it is specifically requested. After ordering the beef shawarma, I found out that adding one sausage would cost an extra 300 Naira, bringing my total to 1,300 Naira. Unsatisfied with that price, I opted for the double sausage instead. To my astonishment, the new total was 2,500 Naira, as it fell under a "special order." This struck me as quite unusual, almost reminiscent of a humorous reaction from a Ghanaian actor. In the end, I settled for the beef shawarma with one sausage and couldn’t help but think of King Kally’s famous line, “It’s over!”
I would give this restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10. It's a charming place, and the food is outstanding. You simply must try their salad—it's the best you'll ever have!
The food is quite tasty, particularly the palm oil rice, but the service can be a bit awkward at times. While the pastries leave something to be desired, there are also some fly problems in the dining area that need to be addressed. Overall, this place is more suitable for takeout than for dining in.
We then moved upstairs, but the noise level was unbearable. The staff up there were chatting loudly among themselves. When we finally opened our big ice cream dish, it had turned sour! I was incredibly frustrated at that point. Despite clearly stating that we were dining in, they wrapped our orders in plastic bags and didn’t even provide extra plates or napkins. We ended up with just two plates for all our food! The final straw was when, halfway through our snacks, a staff member came to take one of the plates away. Couldn’t she see we were still eating? I had kept my frustration bottled up for too long, so I finally spoke up. She muttered a quick apology and walked off. I couldn’t wait to get out of there! On the plus side, their meat pie and cake were quite good, but honestly, everything else was a major disappointment. I've heard the other location is better, but I won't be returning. Once bitten, twice shy!
The service at this restaurant fell short and requires considerable enhancement. Furthermore, having some practical amenities would greatly improve the experience.
