Famous Uncle Al's Hotdogs - Norfolk

This was my first visit since moving here from New York, and I had a craving for a hot dog. I was not disappointed! The atmosphere was warm and laid-back, and the service was excellent. As for the "New York Hot Dog"? It was fantastic! Yum, yum, yum! Next time, I’ll definitely stay to enjoy my meal on-site. Don’t overlook this spot! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Food: 5/5

The wife, husband, and the gentleman who works with them are some of the kindest people you'll ever encounter. They are incredibly friendly, remember your previous orders, and make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. The service is very professional, and the food is incredible. It's one of the best places to get quick and affordable meals.

So, first time eating here and I did not think much of it until I sat there for a minute and absorbed the surroundings. The atmosphere was great and Kevin was super friendly and sharp. The banter with with customers speaks of neighborly days of old when you could have a conversation at the diner counter. I am motivated even more to write this review because, I had the San Antonio dog with onion rings and they were great. The chili was properly proportioned to allow handling the dog without wearing the dog, if you know what I mean. The onion rings were excellent. If you are near the airport, a trip to Uncle Al’s should be on the list. I will bring my family next time.
